This area of North York is characterized by a full range and mix of land uses including commercial, office, and institutional uses, and several high and mid-rise residential buildings. The approved 12-storey building, with a linear park and generous landscaped amenity area are a positive addition to this already vibrant community.
The building surrounds an internal courtyard, which serves as pedestrian walkways and vehicular access to drop off areas. The design also incorporates a substantial accessible green roof and multiple floors of outdoor amenity space. The design also implements several sustainability performance features including energy efficiencies, water conservation, indoor air quality and waste reduction strategies.
Weston Consulting worked with Kirkor Architects to produce a high-quality design in an area demanding excellence in planning and architecture. Weston Consulting assisted in the preparation of planning applications including Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan Approval.
